Rules & Obligations

Rotary Youth Exchange operates on trust. These rules protect every student.

โš ๏ธ Violation of Rotary's rules and regulations may result in immediate repatriation at the student's and family's expense. All students and parents must sign the Rotary Code of Conduct before departure.

No driving
Students are not permitted to drive any motor vehicle during their exchange, regardless of age or licence.

No alcohol or drugs
Consumption of alcohol or any illegal substance is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate repatriation.

No independent travel
Students may not travel independently without prior written approval from their host Rotary club.

Responsible social media use
Students must represent Rotary and India responsibly on all social media platforms.

School attendance
Regular school attendance is mandatory. Students are expected to participate fully in school life.

Stay in contact
Students must maintain regular contact with their Rotary counsellor and with District 3250.

Respect host families
Students must respect the rules, customs and privacy of each host family they live with.

Wear your blazer
The Rotary blazer must be worn at all official Rotary events and when representing the programme.
